These photographs of Denton Corker Marshall's Viewhill House were made in February 2024 as part of a series which seeks to explore how our perception of buildings changes over time as the landscape around them evolves. I first photographed this house in 2011 when the protective “forest” to the south consisted of freshly planted saplings. 13 years later, the now mature forest’s anticipated role as both a buffer against the south-westerly winds and as a natural foil to the minimalist forms of the house was on full display.
