Repair for Maintenance

In the context of rapidly advancing discussions on architecture's relationship to the climate crisis, maintenance represents one of the rarely examined aspects of the architectural mainstream. Against this backdrop, the project proposes examining the possibilities of working with the “maintainability” of architecture. As part of this, an approach to communal housing is implemented in an existing structure in the Danish countryside. By doing so, the project questions what new collective forms of construction and maintenance can be articulated through design.
