‘The Lost Generation’ addresses the issue of gang violence and the threat of natural disasters at the Rohingya Refugee Camps in Bangladesh. When not in use as a shelter, it serves as a multigenerational training center where adolescent boys, who are often left streetside become targets of gang recruitment, can continue their primary education while learning both traditional and contemporary skills. The building is able to be replicated across multiple sites, scales and conditions as ‘mini-shelters’ that alleviate the stress of one centralized point of shelter for the camp.
