A self-sustainable private museum.The Mechanism of Public-Private Partnership was introduced into the project.It provoked the perception of “Ephemeral tension between Duality” expressing the tension between private and public.Yet, such diversity of duality has resulted in five aspects of this thesis. Duality in materiality; Duality in spatial; Duality in the program; Duality in context and Duality in culture. Therefore, turning a traditional museum into a Museum of Duality not only reinforces the importance of Art culture. However, it also opened a new gateway to museum typology in Hong Kong.
