Sylvan Swell is a harbinger of the next generation of fabrication technology. Constructed with a Hololens Mixed Reality construction system, the pavilion aims to challenge the notions of what is possible to construct within the constraints of a small team of three individuals with only six weeks between design and fabrication. Consisting of 1800 linear feet of upcycled lumber from a previous Georgia Tech Studio, the project acts as a focal point for the core of campus, and creates a unique atmosphere with its amorphous geometry and the dramatic shadows cast from the diaphanous grid structure.
