Some of This is That brings together three similar architectures to propose atypical models of collective dwelling in the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood of Detroit. Throughout the site, residents with different living needs are brought together through common spaces and material details. The project nourishes the urban prairie condition to expand habitat for native plants and animals. Thickened facades and structural systems allow bats and birds to live throughout the site, establishing a flourishing environment to serve as collective greenspace for recreation and food cultivation.
