The project is designed and built in a 3-month-studio. The site was an unused parking lot in campus. The project connects the site with cafeteria corridor and streets to form a contiguous open space. The trees in the site are preserved, Smooth Poly-hypar Surface is applied to build the tree-shaped structure for atmosphere of under the tree. Multi-sensory healing landscape is designed to promote biodiversity. The structure, planting and street paving are done by student volunteers. This project provides an low-budget innovative solution on placemaking by modular design and public participation.
