The Project explores the complexities of spatial experiences by embracing discomfort. Focusing on Kurosawa’s Dream (1990), it uses the Manhattan Transcripts methodology to analyze emotional journeys, transforming simple scenes into studies of exaggeration and unease. Rather than creating comfort, the project prompts users to question their perceptions of space and its ability to evoke discomfort. Through immersive methodologies, landscape drawings, and design installations, it challenges conventional spatial engagement and encourages a reevaluation of discomfort and environmental qualities.
