Great danger arises from the 2023 Hawaii wildfires due to the invasive herbs that almost cover the entire island. In the 20th century, invasive plants were effectively controlled under orderly management. Subsequently, a shift from agriculture to tourism took place on the island, and since then invasive plants have spread. The Maui Design discusses the construction of fire resistance on the island through the prevention and control of invasive species and creates new possibilities for regional economic development.
