The "Wreath" transforms Friendship Park into a sacred space that honors all life and remembers those lost at the border. This circular structure, adorned with flowers, symbolizes a funeral wreath. Native plants and milkweed sustain the monarch butterfly. The columns filter rainwater, providing essential resources and creating habitats and gathering points for the community. By integrating a border meeting space with a vegetation system supporting monarch habitats, political boundaries are redefined as unified spaces fostering connection and remembrance.
