This project aims to revive a former industrial site, renowned for its 19th-century pumping station. The goal is to transform the area into a nature reserve, creating protection zones for endangered species and serving an educational purpose by allowing visitors to experience and understand natural processes. Inspired by the design of a Petri dish, the site is divided into circular experimental zones of various sizes. Targeted protection plantings are established in these zones using different strategies, tailored to the needs of key species on the UK and European red lists.
