The tree sculptures of the Bankers Hall Galleria in Calgary rise like aliens from the main shopping plaza. The sculptures are themselves somewhat alien as they tell the story of how difficult it is to grow trees in Calgary. Instead, these stylized metallic forms provide cold comfort for the lack of nature.
