[World Food-waste Teahouse] seeks to address the problem of abundance of food-waste across the world and propagates an alternative use of Food Waste as building materials. 2 installations have been completed, VENETI-AN in Venice and ARABI-AN in Dubai. The project was developed with key motivations of Respecting Local Context, Universality and Circularity. Building components are 100% made of food waste, akin to local dietary habits and familiar to the local community. Permeability is controlled by angle of latitude, controlling shadow and airflow appropriately for the region.
