In Bogor’s Kencana Valley Compound, this chapel reinterprets the traditional Sundanese roof with steep, tent-like slopes and a flowing curved ridge. Glulam arches of local jabon wood support the form, framing views of Mount Pangrango. The roof, clad in durable ulin shingles, rises to form entrances that invite natural light from all sides. Inside, exposed arches pair with meranti wood ceilings, showcasing natural beauty. The design blends tradition with modern techniques, creating a serene, airy space rooted in nature.
