The Disillusion Cascade is a narrative design project featuring an immersive video installation that plunges viewers into a first-person descent through nine layers of ever-shifting dreams. Each realm employs distinct historical animation techniques (1800s–2010s), with transitions—dimensional collapses, 2D→3D morphing—driving the unsettling journey deeper. As architectures warp, landscapes multiply, and gravity betrays, escape becomes an illusion. The final "awakening" reveals a familiar painting from reality—implying dreams are born from the waking world... or is reality just the next layer?
