Ederlezi, located on a narrow five-meter-wide plot in Monterrey's historic center, tackles the challenges of single-family homes in heritage-protected areas of growing cities. The design balances openness and privacy by enclosing activities within a defined boundary. Organized with circulation and services along the plot's edges, the home features a central courtyard that divides the program into two volumes. Blending traditional northwestern Mexican architectural elements with contemporary features, Ederlezi achieves a unique identity that harmonizes with its historic context.
