Sadler’s Wells regenerates a former industrial brownfield site providing a dedicated, flexible space for contemporary dance in London. Saw-tooth rooflines take inspiration from local warehouses and factories. Housing a flexible dance theatre and six choreography studios, the building bookends a terrace of cultural buildings. The venue is open all day and with choreographic school, hip-hop academy, and an L-shaped public ‘living room' with community dance area it aims to foster creativity and community engagement, with a focus on new dance work, education and access for Stratford’s community.
