For nearly two decades, Thailand’s prominent Government Complex (TGC) struggled with public transit access, car dependency, and traffic congestion. In 2024, the arrival of the Skytrain was an opportunity to transform TGC into a resilient, people-centric hub that prioritizes connectivity for its 37,500 daily users. The plan integrates low-carbon design, walkability, social uses, and rainwater harvesting architecture to reduce car reliance and meet Thailand’ net-zero goals. TGC ushers in a new era of governance by harmonizing nature-based solutions, public health, and climate priorities.
