The reconversion of the Beguinage in Hasselt transformed a neglected historic site into a vibrant urban park and cultural hub. Careful restoration and adaptive reuse opened the once-secluded heritage complex to the public, integrating education, culture, and community life. By thoughtfully combining preservation with contemporary use, the project re-established the Beguinage as a sustainable landmark at the heart of the city and a model for heritage-led urban renewal and future university environments.
