Nestled in the Laurentians’ forest, this dwelling embraces a discreet architecture that dissolves into its rugged site. Approached by a winding access road, it reveals itself slowly through a sequence of views, where pace and gradation heighten the sense of immersion. Inspired by Quebec’s vernacular architecture, a simple rectangle form is divided into three volumes. Its composition reflects a quiet balance—sensitive to its topography and vegetation. A restrained palette of materials reinforces the home’s understated presence. Here, the architecture does not seek to dominate, but to recede.
