Extension of Time

Photography of the North Elevation of Battersea Power Station ,during its reconstruction. Each image is made from a selection of photographs laid on top of each other taken on monthly visits to the river locations between 2014 and 2024, part of a commission from to record the progress of the reconstruction at the power station. It was not until ending the project that I started to experiment with layering the images like a static time-lapse. what are in-essence static documents, once layered, give a sense of energy, motion and animation, illustrating the evolution of this iconic landmark.
