Set among Turku's landmarks—the castle, public park, and sea—the new museum harmoniously integrates these elements, bridging historical and future narratives of the city. Extending the park onto the site and embracing the waterfront, the design creates a continuous journey. A gently rising slope leads through the park and into spiraling galleries, culminating in panoramic views of the city from the rooftop. The museum respects its context, featuring simple and sustainable design that complements the historic castle while enhancing the urban fabric with its accessible, engaging public spaces.
