Our research explores how a simple food industry pollutant, such as eggshells, can be transformed into a sustainable product which specifically focuses on creating healthier toys for children. Eggshells are primarily composed of calcium carbonate, which offers a strong base material that can be easily manipulated to carry out different functions. Our methodology for optimizing this waste material’s inherent properties involve sanitizing, baking, and grinding the eggshells into a powder form to effectively bind with other ingredients. This new tool allows children to express their creativity.
