The project is the largest convention venue in central China. Its design is rooted in traditional Chinese aesthetics and cultural symbols, incorporating the contours of mountains, sloped roofs, and the form of unfolded Chinese folding fans into its architectural form. The building layout draws on the spatial sequence of traditional Chinese architecture and the facade integrates 7,500 varied perforated metal panels to highlight the distinctive city identity of Changsha, renowned for its rivers and mountains. The rooftop square courtyard with He Xi Tai conveys the spirit of Yuelu Academy.
