Nestled in the terraced green tea fields of Ssanggyesa, Hadong, this project seeks to quietly dissolve into Jirisan’s mountainous terrain. Rather than impose, the architecture follows the contours and memory of the land—echoing stone walls, tea rows, and stepped fields. Spaces are layered along the slope, embracing elevation changes as an organizing principle. Visitors move through embedded voids and solids before emerging into the landscape, where bamboo and tea remnants remain. Hand-finished lime-cement walls recall the earth, forming a space rooted in both nature and memory.
