Situated along the UNESCO-listed Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the center fuses historical narrative with contemporary design. Its terraced form, inspired by shipyard structures, echoes the legacy of canal transport. The façade balances industrial clarity and refined detail: stainless steel mesh wraps exposed trusses, while an LED-embedded Mediamesh screen animates the southern elevation. Inside, an elliptical atrium, floating staircases, and glass folding doors connect flexible interior spaces with sunken gardens, supporting diverse cultural events.
