This all-season cottage is designed to recede into its wooded surroundings. Inspired by floating docks, its planar architecture offers privacy while preserving pristine lake views. Sliding glass walls and a cantilevered roof enable the main level to double its floor area with “wall-free” rooms up to 16 feet in depth. A refined material palette—comprising wood, concrete, metal, and stone—is elevated by precise detailing. Rooted in its landscape, this residence strikes a balance between intimacy and openness, where architecture blends into nature, supporting solitude, gathering and renewal.
