Komos Foundation’s Amatitán Classroom transforms tequila industry waste into opportunity. Built for an underserved elementary public school, the project utilizes Bagazo (agave fiber) and Vinaza (liquid distillation waste) to create adobe, cobb, and roof insulation, replacing traditional materials like hay and clean water with these byproducts. Crafted with local natural materials, the design honors Amatitán’s heritage, blending seamlessly into its landscape while turning environmental liabilities into sustainable, educational assets.
