Maple House at Canary Landing comprises 3 buildings in the West Don Lands, an 80-hectare brownfield on Toronto’s historic industrial waterfront. architects—Alliance and Cobe Architects created a 770-unit complex addressing Toronto’s urgent need for high-quality rental housing accessible to all income levels. The design strategy, “Not Identical, but Indistinguishable,” evenly distributes affordable and market units with a universally high level of quality through all three blocks of the new LEED® Gold neighbourhood, together with accessible amenity space open to residents and the community.
