As the gateway to an emerging international tourism hub—where the World Expo and integrated resort developments are underway—this station was envisioned as the “first pavilion” to welcome visitors from across the globe, and as a destination in its own right.The design concept is “I-SEKAI Theater” It embodies the unique role of Osaka Metro, which has long supported and driven the city and its people, by expressing the vitality of movement as life itself. The station becomes an experiential theater that conveys this dynamism while interweaving elements of Japan’s traditional culture and craft.
