Located in Paris’ Parc Forestier de la Poudrerie, this project transforms a historic gunpowder factory into a gypsum recycling facility and cultural hub. Repurposing construction waste from urban renewal projects, it merges industrial recycling with public engagement, inviting the community to create ceramics from discarded plasterboard. The design revitalizes historic structures with mass timber and recycled gypsum, reinforcing the park’s role as a social and ecological connector. More than preservation, it’s a model for circular urbanism, redefining post-industrial adaptive reuse.
