This family farm shed was in response to growing equipment sizes and farm succession planning. The large 80’x100’ shed meets the practical needs of modern farming while connecting with the vistas of the surrounding landscape. Large doors frame views of the landscape, careful orchestration of glazing spotlights the sunset and horizon, and lighting marks the late-night toils of the farmer. The mix of cladding; steel, wood, and polycarbonate, break down the large scale to suit the landscape. A marrying of modern farm functionality with traditional agricultural design values.
