Tokyo is a city built in layers. Railways, expressways and monorails interlock with architecture in a dense choreography where infrastructure becomes landscape. This series observes compression points—bridges, ramps, tracks—where flows of speed, light and matter overlap. By stressing nocturnal density rather than openness, the work portrays Tokyo not through icons but through its connective tissue. The images are part of a long-term research on the city, here focused on its infrastructural core, highlighting how its hidden frameworks shape urban life as much as its visible symbols.
