'Sponge by the Forks' reimagines Winnipeg’s riverfront as a living sponge, using nature-based strategies to manage stormwater and make water challenges visible to the public. The project layers blue, green, and grey infrastructure, blending landscape and architecture into an immersive learning environment. Through accessible green roofs, wetlands, and a Water and Climate Impact Centre, it reconnects people with the natural water cycle and builds resilience against climate change.
