INTERMINGLE combines oyster cultivation, education, and culture to restore natural habitats, balance economic and environmental goals, and engage the public. Facing Galveston Bay, the project embraces tidal changes and preserves wetland topographies. It blends urban and organic forms, serving as an oyster farm and culture center, fostering dynamic interactions between people and nature. Visitors engage with oyster farming through learning, working, purchasing, and recycling, reflecting on the oyster life cycle, and creating a sustainable loop that benefits the environment and local economy.
