Located in the mountainous region of southern Taiwan, the Mudan Village is inhabited by aboriginal tribes. Vulung means “hundred-paced snake” in the traditional language. However, influenced by the rapid changes of modern society, they gradually lose their own identity and barely could maintain the culture and living. Therefore, this design aims to build a brand-new library in order to preserve the knowledge and wisdoms of traditions and to reactivate Mudan Village's social activities, historical rituals, and symbols.
