In Daoism, purple is a transitional color and is metaphysically located between yin and yang and it has always attracted the attention of artists. During sunrise and sunset, sunlight passes through most of the earth's atmosphere before reaching our eyes, and this can lead to the fact that some of the blue light is scattered even more, resulting in a purple-pink hue. This time is called the golden and blue hour. From April to December 2024, I tried to capture this exact moment almost every day to make my architectural series of photographs of New York “Between Gold and Blue”.
