Perched on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the boundless sea, this residence has been re-imagined as a serene sanctuary amidst bamboo trees. Inspired by the family’s visits to Kyoto’s peaceful bamboo forests— where the gentle rustle of leaves and the warmth of wooden accents left an indelible mark— the family of four sought a retreat that embodies the Eastern philosophy of mindfulness and simplicity. The brief called for a harmonious blend of earthy materials, subtle textures, and thoughtful design elements, all carefully curated to reflect the family’s shared love for nature.
