Centro Raíz is an itinerant pavilion, The idea behind the project is about going back to the roots of architecture, construction and humanity. The pavilion is built with American teak staves arranged in the x, y, and z axes, achieving a large volume with less material. A quarter of a sphere is subtracted from the interior of the space, symbolizing time as an abstract and intangible concept, which you need to actively imagine and construct in the present. The pavilion holds an open forum in which people is free to interact, and sit for a while to rest in the shade.
