The project focused on revitalizing the 5,058-square-meter village along the Shangxian River, where a luxury boutique hotel adapts the old structures while the landscape design enhances the outdoor spaces to preserve the beauty of the Wuxi culture. The design process for the project entailed a meticulous understanding of intervention parameters, heritage canal waterfronts, and existing materials. Key interventions included creating an arrival experience near a historic bridge, establishing pedestrian circulation, revitalizing the traditional central garden, and activating the waterfront.
