The creative renewal and adaptive reuse of the 1942 built Torpedo Factory has opened up the site to the local community as a new multiuse undercover space with public terraces, gardens and compliant equitable access. Partial demolition of the factory allowed daylight back to the site and created space for a new public park on the lower level. First Nations design and interpretation of the stories of sea, stone and sky, integrated within the industrial heritage has created a complex and multilayered experience, with a high level of integrated sustainability measures.
