Kedarpuri town, at an elevation of 3553m in the Himalayas, was devastated by unprecedented flooding in 2013, wiping out most of it. This ecologically sensitive area suffered perilous imbalances due to haphazard, unchecked tourism-driven construction. With a focus not only on physical revitalization but also on nurturing the spiritual and communal ethos, the Masterplan embraced innovative solutions to reimagine the town’s redevelopment through responsible stewardship, addressing concerns that include environment, social fabric, ecology, & resilience.
