'Island Synchronisation’ is an installation for the investigation of time, nature, and co-existence. The project, located in Chi Ma Wan in Hong Kong, proposes an alternative methodology for the formation of floating island structures that merge the habitat of undersea wildlife with a resting place for divers and fishing villagers. Returning to low-tech concrete paste and raw sand-casting methods, the floating rock formation slowly transforms through time and is tinted with the colours of nature, blurring the line between man-made and nature.
