Nestled in the heart of Catskill, the Catskill Creek Bridge was once a vehicular arch bridge and now serves as a quiet communal path. As urban development grows, the project introduces a new pedestrian walkway and revives an adjacent trail, enhancing walkability and community connection. Merging local woodworking with computational design, the bridge features a concrete frame and rhythmic wooden balustrades that echo the creek’s flow, opening at the center to invite pause and reflection in nature.
