This project envisions a new model for coastal living at Canarsie Pier, where rising sea levels become opportunities to rethink our relationship with water. Using a land–sea gradient strategy, it links housing, infrastructure, and local economy into a resilient urban edge. Through phased development—retrofitting housing, introducing tourism, and constructing flood-resisting megastructures—it addresses housing needs and long-term adaptation. Rooted in speculative urbanism, the design aligns with the exhibition’s focus on synthetic creativity, entrepreneurship, and ecological responsibility.
