The River House in Westport, MA, is a fossil-fuel-free private residence sited on 1.1 acres along the Westport River. Its solar crescent form floods interiors with daylight, framing river views through soaring glass walls. The 5-bedroom home features warm teak cabinetry and a central “Russian Doll Temple” alcove uniting living, kitchen, and bar. Designed with passive solar strategies, geothermal wells, radiant heating, and solar arrays, the residence celebrates wood-frame elegance, natural light, and a seamless connection to landscape and atmosphere.
