Mario Cucinella Architects' project, in a key area near the historic center of Aosta, preserves and restores the main buildings of the former barracks and creates a new university campus. This campus is an example of architecture that engages with its surroundings, respecting the past and embracing the future. Contrasting with the rigidity of the old military barracks, the building's color and form create a connection with the Alpine landscape and its glaciers. The shape of the facade not only responds precisely to the climatic needs, but also defines a public space in which to live.
