Completed in February 2025, this project transforms a disused ferry terminal on the Xijiang River in Jiujiang Town, Foshan, into a 216 m² cultural pavilion. Inspired by waterside pavilions, it retains the concrete frame and jetty steps as tiered benches. Glass walls on all sides blur exhibits and landscape, offering open access while preserving heritage. Motorized sunshades flip up to form a shaded “gray space”; when closed, they enclose an interior venue. A white, wave‑patterned aluminum roof, echoing local industrial panels, marks it as a landmark.
