Centro Direzionale Metro Station transforms a rigid 1970s business district designed by Kenzo Tange into a welcoming civic landscape. Flowing glulam vaults contrast with the surrounding concrete towers, evoking a walk through a forest while recalling the great vaulted railway halls. Ramps, terraces and landscaped public spaces reconnect the elevated platform with Naples. Within the 10,000 m² station, colours and artworks inspired by Pompeii unite infrastructure, architecture, art and archaeology, turning a transport node into a new urban landmark.
