Renfrew Bridge is Scotland’s first opening road bridge across the River Clyde and a focal point of the Clyde Waterfront Regeneration programme. The 184-metre twin-leaf cable-stayed bridge links Renfrew and Yoker while maintaining river navigation. Its rotating masts reinterpret historic Clyde shipyard cranes, rooting the design in the river’s industrial past. PAS 2080 principles informed carbon reduction, material efficiency and durability. More than 5 million crossings were recorded within its first 66 weeks, including approximately 200,000 active-travel crossings.
